14/04/2025 Rödl & Partner to expand its financial transactions team to Warsaw We have established a financial transactions team in Warsaw, which will be headed by Daniel Antonik who has more than 18 years of experience in transactional advice. 15/01/2025 Rödl & Partner focuses on growth – integration with Hogan Lovells teams Lawyers and tax advisers from leading practice areas of the law firm of Hogan Lovells joined the ranks of Rödl & Partner on 1 January 2025. 24/10/2024 Renata Kabas-Komorniczak distinguished among ‘25 Women Lawyers in Business’ by Forbes Women magazine Renata Kabas-Komorniczak, Managing Partner of Rödl & Partner, is among the women distinguished in the ‘25 Women Lawyers in Business’ ranking. This is the fourth edition of this ranking, organised by ‘Forbes Women Polska’ magazine in collaboration with the Women in Law Foundation. The ranking honours women who achieve outstanding professional success while engaging in social initiatives. It presents not only female business leaders, but also women whose activities motivate others to overcome barriers and promote values such as equality, diversity and social responsibility. The distinctions are awarded by a jury made up of male and female experts in various fields. Renata Kabas-Komorniczak has been combining her leadership role at Rödl & Partner with intensive social activity for many years. She is a co-founder of the Kochasz Dopilnuj Foundation, which is committed to preventing breast cancer and testicular cancer, raising health awareness among women and men. On a day-to-day basis, Renata actively supports gender equality initiatives, promoting fair treatment of all employees regardless of gender. 3/07/2024 We are joining German Eastern Business Association (OA) To strengthen our position in the German market, Rödl Kancelaria Prawna sp.k. has joined the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft, or OA for short). Our firm is represented by Renata Kabas-Komorniczak, Managing Partner at Rödl & Partner. OA was established in 1952. Today, it brings together over 350 member companies from 29 countries in Central Europe, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, in the South Caucasus and in Central Asia. The Association supports its members in doing business in the partnering markets by promoting them in the region, informing them about market developments, and networking them with the governments of the partner countries, the European Commission, and local economic actors. Joining OA is an opportunity for us to pursue further projects in foreign markets and for closer collaboration with partners from various countries and sectors.

24/06/2024 New Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland Jarosław Kamiński has become a new Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland. The official appointment ceremony took place during the international Forum Global meeting and the International Convention in Nuremberg. Jarosław Kaminski started his career at Rödl & Partner in 2014. At the same time he was entered in the register of attorneys at law of the District Bar Association in Warsaw. In 2015, he was promoted to Senior Associate and three years later to Associate Partner. His field of expertise is M&A, as well as commercial and corporate law. He specialises in personal data protection and acts as Data Protection Officer for our firm. In addition, he is internal auditor (ISO 9001) and lead auditor (ISO 2700:2017). He has also authored numerous press articles and press releases. He represents Rödl & Partner as an expert in the media, contributing to building our strong brand in the legal services market. Jarosław is actively involved in diverse projects, such as the Whistleblowing Summit, DPO Master Academy, webinars, and Rödl & Partner On Air podcasts.

In this year's list of law firms in terms of the number of lawyers we have ranked 22nd which is 5 notches up from the last year. Rzeczpospolita's ranking awards the best law firms from around Poland. 321 firms and almost 10 thousand lawyers entered this year’s edition. 18/04/2024 Rödl & Partner in the 23rd Ranking of Audit Firms by Rzeczpospolita We remain strong in the 23rd edition of Rzeczpospolita’s Ranking of Audit Firms. We ranked 12th overall and 11th in terms of audit revenue in 2023. In terms of total revenue, we are in 6th place. We were also among the five firms, outside of the Big Four, that exceeded the revenue of 100 million zloty and among the few firms that reported strong audit revenue growth of more than a fifth. We are pleased that our efforts, combined with client satisfaction, have been recognised and reflected in our financial and ranking performance. 16/04/2024 Rödl & Partner in RBF’s report for sixth time It is the sixth time that the Responsible Business Forum has distinguished our CSR and ESG activities in their "Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices" report. The annual “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices" report is the largest overview of CSR and sustainable development initiatives in Poland. This year’s 22nd edition presents as many as 1,046 activities undertaken by 266 organisations. Because of the growing number of submissions, only 5 could practices could be reported for competition this year. 5/04/2024 18th Ranking of Tax Advisory Firms by Rzeczpospolita We have scored solid high this year in Rzeczpospolita's 18th Ranking of Tax Advisory Firms. Five of our experts have been designated recommended tax advisers. 26/03/2024 We know the results of the 18th Ranking of Tax Firms and Advisers by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna Our firm has placed high in the 18th Ranking of Tax Firms and Advisers published by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. More than 80 firms, including law firms, have been ranked. We have taken twice the 2nd place in the category of the largest tax advisory firms in 2023 (employing between 21 and 50 qualified professionals): 2nd place – in terms of the number of subject matter professionals 2nd place – in terms of revenue. This is a real accolade for us showing that our work is relevant to the tax advisory industry. 13/03/2024 We are moving our Poznań office to Nowy Rynek E Our office in Poznań will soon open on the 7th floor of the office tower developed by Skanska. We will use almost 1,000 square meters of space designed according to the ESG criteria and equipped with innovative systems reducing the impact on natural environment. Newmark Polska advised us on finding a suitable location. – We are moving our Poznań office to Nowy Rynek E for several key reasons that emerged during the analysis and consultation process. Our choice was based not only on the location, but also on the quality and modernity of the space. Our goal is to create an office where every employee feels comfortable, one that inspires growth. We also care about the environment and health, so we chose a building that meets the highest environmental standards, as evidenced by LEED and WELL certifications. In addition, workshops with our employees and a hybrid work model have allowed us to optimize our resources and will enable us to create an ergonomic and efficient work environment in the new office. 9/02/2024 Our Warsaw office is relocating to VIBE We have decided to relocate to VIBE, Ghelamco’s newest project in the Warsaw central business district. Newmark Polska advised us on finding a suitable location. Why are we moving our office to VIBE? We have carefully thought over our selection and based it on in-depth research of working space and needs of our staff. We have considered not only the functional aspects but above all we want to create a comfortable working environment that would help us achieve our business objectives. That is why, after a series of workshops and interviews with our employees, we have chosen VIBE. Also, the choice of a CO2-neutral building fits our all-important ESG strategy and is a major step towards sustainable growth and social responsibility. This modern and eco-friendly space will make all our clients and employees feel comfortable, comments Renata Kabas-Komorniczak, Managing Partner at Rödl & Partner. VIBE is being erected near the Daszyński roundabout, at the corner of Towarowa and Kolejowa streets. The first building of the two-stage development project should be put into use in the 2nd quarter of this year. It will be the first building in Poland to have its own, customised audiosphere that will create unique ambience and adjust to the pace and rhythm of life inside in real time. It has been designed by Wojciech Urbański, a renowned Polish composer, producer and sound designer. In line with Ghelamco's ESG strategy, VIBE will be equipped with an ultra-modern Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to significantly reduce energy consumption. The sustainable nature of the project will be certified to WELL, BREEAM, DGNB, SmartScore, WiredScore and Green Building Standard. As regards the first two standards, the developer aims at the highest possible certification levels: Platinum and Outstanding. The office building will ultimately be powered by 100% clean energy.

4/12/2023 Corporate Christmas party in Wisła We are looking back at our Christmas event in Wisła between 30 November and 2 December 2023. We used that opportunity to celebrate also 30 years of our presence in Poland. Indeed, almost 32 years of Rödl & Partner Poland have passed but it was not until this year that we could finally meet in person and celebrate the anniversary. We had decided earlier to postpone the festivities due to the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. The event agenda was full of attractions: a guided mountain hike and trips to the picturesque parts of Koniaków and Wisła, a cheese-making workshop at the Shepherd Centre, a visit to the Koniaków Lace Centre, a yoga workshop, a “Diet for the brain” workshop, as well as a bartending training. Almost 500 people attended the Christmas Gala where we thanked 63 jubilees for their many years of work and congratulated the winners of the Rödl & Talent contest. Big thanks to the organisers, hosts and all participants for the moments together that sparked so much positive Christmas energy in us.

4/07/2023 Meet our new Partners at Rödl & Partner Poland The new Partners in Poland are Tomasz Balcerak and Aneta Bolka. The appointment ceremony took place during the 24th Forum Global in Nuremberg. There were overall 36 Partner nominations from 11 locations of Rödl & Partner worldwide. The new Partners represent the BPO service line and have been with our firm for many years. They started out as accountants to subsequently move up the career ladder. Both are leading large financial accounting teams – Tomasz in Warsaw and Aneta in Gliwice. Tomasz Balcerak is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and postgraduate programme in enterprise accountancy and finance at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. At Rödl & Partner in Poland, he is responsible for, among others, accounting outsourcing services, financial accounting supervision, preparing tax returns and annual financial statements, and tax compliance. His areas of focus also include accounting law, VAT, and corporate income tax. Tomasz is a Certified Tax Adviser (PL). Aneta Bolka graduated from the University of Economics in Cracow. Her responsibilities at Rödl & Partner Poland cover regular financial accounting and tax accounting. She is involved in implementation and adaptation of accounting software to applicable tax and accounting laws. 7/06/2023 We are growing – Omega Accounting AS and Polish Connection sp. z o.o. join Rödl & Partner The Norwegian company Omega Accounting AS and the Polish company Polish Connection sp. z o.o. have joined Rödl & Partner. In this way we have strengthened our presence in the Norwegian market and on the Polish coast. The entire transaction was supervised and taken care of by Jens-Christian Pastille, Partner responsible for the Nordics at Rödl & Partner, with support of Lars-Göran Larsson, Partner in Rödl & Partner Sweden, and Renata Kabas-Komorniczak, Rödl & Partner’s Managing Partner. 28/04/2023 Rödl & Partner in the 22nd Ranking of Audit Firms by Rzeczpospolita We maintain the strong 11th position in Rzeczpospolita’s 22nd Ranking of Audit Firms. Additionally, we have ranked 11th in terms of audit revenue (2022 figures). In terms of total revenue, we are just behind the Big Four, i.e. in 6th place. Rzeczpospolita has prepared the ranking on the basis of surveys. The evaluation criteria included: revenues from financial audits, used for calculation of the supervision fee; number of audits conducted in 2022; number of statutory auditors licensed in Poland; number of people engaged in audits (excluding administration). Running a business requires commitment, curiosity and proactive approach to changes. We are happy that our efforts, combined with customer satisfaction, have been confirmed by the ranking positions awarded to us.

14/04/2023 Rödl & Partner recognised in The Legal 500 – Energy And Natural Resources ranking Our law firm has been recognised in The Legal 500 international ranking for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in the Energy And Natural Resources category. Energy consultancy team led by Piotr Mrowiec, which supports investors in renewable energy projects, has been awarded in the Energy and Natural Resources category. Among the key lawyers working in this area, Jagna Bronk was honourably mentioned together with Piotr Mrowiec. The team actively supports investors from Poland and abroad at all stages of their RES projects. 30/03/2023 Rödl & Partner in the 17th Ranking of Tax Firms and Advisers by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna Dziennik Gazeta Prawna published the results of the 17th Ranking of Tax Firms and Advisors. Our firm was honourably mentioned in several categories. We were among the Best Firms, taking ex aequo 3rd place in the Tax Projects category. We stood on the podium next to ALTO Tax, MDDP Michalik Dłuska Dziedzic i Partnerzy and Grant Thornton. Our energy projects awarded in this category included: tax advice on the construction of a strategic energy facility, i.e. a combined-cycle power plant; in addition to tax advice, we also provide legal advice and tax accounting (project value is 1 billion zloty); tax advice on an international transaction involving the acquisition of part of a business in Poland and other European countries (total transaction value is 1.1 billion euro); tax advice on a new investment project involving the construction of a production plant, incl. obtaining income tax exemption for the investor within the Polish Investment Zone. We ranked 4th among the Largest Tax Firms 2022 in the category of large firms (employing 10 or more qualified professionals). We also ranked 4th in terms of revenue in the large firm category. In addition, we appeared high on the lists with no breakdown into groups – TOP 30: firms in terms of the number of tax advisors – 7th place (38 tax advisers) firms in terms of the number of clients – 8th place. We are happy with the awards we have received. The ranking results show that we are successful in providing top-quality tax advice and that we continually grow, think outside the box and offer our trusted clients solutions that meet their needs.

26/01/2023 Our firm honourably mentioned in the Forbes Diamonds 2023 ranking This is the fifth time our firm has joined the prestigious group of Forbes Diamonds laureates. We are among the fastest-growing companies in Poland – in the category: revenues from 5 to 50 million zloty in Mazowieckie. Forbes Diamonds is an annual ranking of the most dynamically developing Polish companies in a given region, which have significantly increased their value in the last three years. The list is compiled using the Swiss business valuation method which considers financial performance and asset value. Key criteria included: financial performance 2017-2021 asset value payment history payment reliability clean legal record. All this shows that the firm is reliable and able to cope in all conditions, responding to the needs of its clients. We feel honoured and motivated to develop further. Official opening of new office in Cracow

The grand opening of our new office in Cracow took place on 26 September 2022. The event was well attended by employees, clients, Managing Partners and Partners from Poland.

Our guests included: Dagmar Maria Hillebrand – Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, Elżbieta Duraj – Head of the AHK Regional Office in Katowice, Renata Kopyto from the Nuremberg House, Silvie Preusser from the Office for International Relations of the City of Nuremberg.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of our presence on the Polish market and the 26th anniversary of our Cracow office, which was another reason to celebrate. The event was crowned by a cooking show delivered by Robert Makłowicz, accompanied by history and interesting facts about Polish and German cuisine.

We would like to thank all those who honoured that day with their presence. But we would like to thank also all those who could not attend but whose thoughts were with us #RoedlFamily.

Katarzyna Judkowiak, Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland, distinguished in ITR World Tax 2023 ranking

Katarzyna Judkowiak, Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland in charge of tax advisory services, is among the World Tax Leaders 2023 as the Highly Regarded Practitioner in General corporate tax and Women in tax.

ITR Tax Awards have been granted by the prestigious International Tax Review magazine since 2005. They go to the best firms and experts in tax consultancy in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The awards honour outstanding achievements and progress over the last 12 months.

Katarzyna Judkowiak graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where she studied international business economics (Internationale Betriebswirtschaftslehre). During her studies, she won the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) scholarship, as part of which she studied at the University of Montevideo (Uruguay). She joined Rödl & Partner in 2005. In 2007, she became a licensed tax adviser. In 2010, she was appointed as Associate Partner and as Partner in 2020. She heads the tax consulting department in Rödl & Partner's Warsaw office.

We are proud to see Katarzyna distinguished. This award emphasises her efficiency, continuous development and the raising of standards of good tax advice. Congratulations!

New Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland

Dominika Tyczka-Szyda has been appointed as a new Partner at Rödl & Partner Poland. The official appointment ceremony took place during the international Forum Global event in Nuremberg.

Dominika Tyczka-Szyda is a tax adviser, transfer pricing specialist, member of Rödl & Partner's international transfer pricing team and working group within the Transfer Pricing Forum, as well as MDR Officer.

She is an award-winning and distinguished expert – she is among the best tax law experts recommended by Rzeczpospolita. She also ranked 3rd among top tax advisers in CIT category of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. She has authored numerous presentations and publications, and is a PhD student at the Faculty of Management, Information Technology and Finance of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.

She started her professional career at Rödl & Partner in 2010 as an Assistant in the Legal and Tax Department. She was appointed Senior Associate in 2014 and Associate Partner 2017. She has been in charge of the Tax and Legal Department in Wroclaw and Rödl & Partner's transfer pricing team in Poland since 2018. She currently manages a team of nearly 30 people.

Support for Ukraine – donation from Rödl & Partner

As part of our support for Ukraine, we have partnered with the Association for People with Intellectual Disability – “Bonitum” of Wrocław.

The Partners have decided to cancel the joint celebration of 30 years of Rödl & Partner in Poland and to support initiatives helping war-stricken Ukraine instead. We have donated 200 thousand zloty, which will be used to purchase equipment for ambulances.

As there are no ambulances for helping civilians (most ambulances have been given to the army), the Association runs the initiative “Ambulances for Kiev”. They equip medical ambulances and donate them to Ukrainian hospitals or establishments which take care of the disabled and elderly.

The Association will use our donation to buy comprehensive medical equipment for one ambulance (medical and patient monitoring devices, as well as equipment used in most serious emergencies).

Rzeczpospolita’s 20th Ranking of Law Firms

Rzeczpospolita’s ranking recognises the largest and the best law firms in Poland. This year's ranking saw a record number of law firms registered to compete – 321.

We ranked:

30th in terms of the number of attorneys at law
21st in terms of the number of lawyers.

We also received two honourable mentions. We were distinguished in the categories of:

contribution to building the legal market in Poland
innovative solutions – two projects: an eco-friendly office and the EAP24 service.

Rödl & Partner in the 21st Ranking of Audit Firms by Rzeczpospolita

In this year's 21st Ranking of Audit Firms by Rzeczpospolita, we have ranked 11th in terms of audit revenue (2021 figures). Taking into account total revenue, we are just behind the Big Four, i.e. in 5th place.

Rzeczpospolita has prepared the ranking on the basis of surveys. The evaluation criteria included:

revenue from financial audits, used for calculation of the supervision fee;
number of audits conducted in 2021;
number of statutory auditors licensed in Poland;
number of people engaged in audits (excluding administration).

Support for Rödl & Partner’s employees from Ukraine and their families

Our firm has global reach and one of our values is “caring”. Facing the ongoing war in Ukraine, Rödl & Partner’s employees in Poland have been helping their colleagues from Ukraine and their families from the very beginning.

Transportation and housing

Rödl & Partner Poland has set up a special task force to coordinate in-house aid initiatives – mainly for our employees from Kiev and Kharkov offices. We take care of arrival and housing of our employees and their families – from organising the travel from Ukraine to picking up people from the border to providing accommodation, legal aid and workstation to support in everyday life in Poland. We have managed to look after more than 60 people and 9 animals. Our employees have demonstrated huge commitment to the cause often providing support in their private time.

Money collection among colleagues

We are running an in-house money collection. The money will be spent on helping our colleagues from Ukraine to settle in Poland. We are also collecting things such as food, clothing, household equipment (appliances, furniture etc.). Colleagues support colleagues also in formal and legal issues like applying for a personal identity card, enrolling kids in kindergartens, visiting doctors. We continuously work with two people who speak Ukrainian. We try to make our colleagues and their families feel safe.

30-Year Anniversary Gala of Rödl & Partner Poland cancelled

Moreover, the firm has decided to cancel its grand gala to celebrate 30 years of Rödl & Partner in Poland. The ongoing war in Ukraine which requires support and aid for our employees and their families is not an appropriate time for partying and celebration. Rödl & Partner Poland has donated 200 thousand zloty to organisations that provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Rödl & Partner Poland ranked 2nd in the Ranking of the largest tax firms in the category of large enterprises, that is those hiring at least 10 qualified advisers. This means that we were just one score behind the ‘Big Four’.

In terms of 2021 revenues, we were ranked 4th in the category of large enterprises.

In addition, we ranked high in categories without grouping – TOP 30:

in terms of the number of tax advisors – 6th place
in terms of the number of clients – 6th place

It is the fourth time Rödl & Partner has been honoured with the “Forbes Diamond” and ranked among the most dynamically growing companies in Poland. This year our “Diamond” shines twice as bright.
