Call for applications under the Innovations for the Environment programme

Applications for funding for so-called project fiches in Phase 1 of the Innovations for the Environment priority programme organised by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management may be submitted from 1 September to 31 October 2023. 
 
The programme supports the use innovative environmental technologies to facilitate the implementation of the European Green Deal. 
 
The programme provides funding to projects that foster economic development to steer the country towards a modern and environmentally friendly circular economy.
 

Aid intensity

 
Enterprises can have their projects part-funded with a preferential loan of up to 85% of eligible costs. They can also have a part of the loan of up to 20% – but not more than 10 million zloty – forgiven provided that the target environmental effects of the project are met.
 

Types of projects

 
The selected projects must comply with the DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) principle, which addresses 6 environmental objectives, that is:
  • climate change mitigation,
  • climate change adaptation,
  • sustainable use and conservation of water and marine resources,
  • transition to a circular economy, including waste prevention and recycling,
  • prevention and control of air, water and land pollution,
  • protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems.
 
Aid will be provided to innovative and environmental investment projects worth at least 2 million zloty, carried out by an existing or newly established enterprise, designed to:
  • increase production capacity by developing a production line or a plant to manufacture innovative products,
  • implement a new or significantly improved technology or a solution using R&D results in its own business.
