The second call for proposals under priority programme “Energy-intensive industry – RES” is now open with the budget of 100 million zloty. The programme aims to decarbonise energy-intensive industries in Poland by increasing electricity generation from renewable energy sources.

The programme is addressed to businesses that have legal interest in a system covered by the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). The aid will granted in the form of soft loans forgivable up to 30%.

The call is for proposals of construction or conversion of RES systems incorporating energy storage facilities or their connection to the on-site and/or distribution/transmission network.

To obtain the aid, at least 80% of the generated energy must be used for the enterprise's own purposes.

The projects must utilise exclusively new equipment, manufactured no earlier than 48 months before installation.

Proposals are accepted until 20 December 2024 or until the allocated funds run out.
